Yoga!

At the beginning of the summer, I walked into a yoga class at my local Y. I was 266 lbs and so out of shape that it was an overwhelming, impossible task. Forty-two lbs later, I found myself in a yoga class yesterday and I loved it! Of course, it helps that on my part, I'm lighter and due to weight lifting, stronger. Kudos to the instructor, that gave 3 different levels to each pose/exercise so that I could "see" how to perform the move to my ability. All that said, I loved the class and will definately be making room for it in my week.

Back to Low Carb

Just 5 days off of my low carb plan and the pain has come back. The overall aches, stiffness, joint and muscle pain. No more. Back on plan again, I'll spend the day eating egg whites and various lean meats and I'll be feeling better in no time.

I clean up pretty good :) I've now officially lost 69 lbs. With 50 more to go, I've taken a week off to transition into a different way of eating (WOE) Over the last 45 lbs, my carbs were way too low (20 or less), as were my calories (500 or less) and I started feeling the effects. It was fun and motivating to lose quickly, but I'm going to double everything, staying low carb and adding weights, stretching and an aerobic activity or two. It's fun to be able to shop off of the "other" clothes racks! LOL!

The Before!

Ouch. I just can't believe this is me. It's as if I'm looking at a stranger. There are so few pictures of me being overweight. For such a large person, I'm exceptionally good at hiding from the camera lens! I'm 24 lbs down. I'll get DD to take some photos of me!

The Weight is Leaving!

I love Kimkins. It was created for me. This is the way my body was made to eat. I've struggled for 2 solid years in a massive effort to prolong and improve my life. This is me at my highest weight. I've never been able to stick to it for more than a week. I can't handle carbs. The refined flour and sugar is like heroin to my body. I've been able to stay with the Kimkins plan since May 9, 2007. That's 26 days of no hunger and 22 lbs gone. It would be more, but I've gone too high with my calories a day or two and it takes 3 or so days to regain that ground. It's been a learning experience. I feel like I know my body for the first time! Here is my latest pic.
